All of our gravel, pebbles, shingle and chippings have a long lasting mulching effect. Cotswold Pebbles are decorative, naturally rounded limestone pebbles with a warm mix of buff, cream, and soft grey tones. They’re commonly used in landscaping to create a smooth, attractive finish for paths, patios, borders, and driveways.

2. What colour are they?
These pebbles show a natural blend of buff, cream, and grey with warmer honey flecks, especially noticeable when wet. Their varied tones make them popular in both traditional and contemporary garden schemes.

3. What size are the stones?
Cotswold Pebbles are available in 6mm, 10mm, and 20mm grades, giving you the flexibility to choose a finer decorative finish or a larger, more substantial coverage depending on the project.

Yes. Used together with a weed control membrane, they act as a decorative mulch that helps suppress weed growth while allowing rainwater to drain through freely.

7. Do they fade or change colour over time?
As a natural limestone, they retain their colour well but may weather slightly over time, particularly in areas with heavy rain or foot traffic. Periodic raking or washing helps keep them looking fresh.

8. Are they safe for pets and children?
Yes. They’re non-toxic and safe for family gardens. Their smooth, rounded shape also makes them more comfortable underfoot than angular aggregates.

9. Will they work well with other aggregates?
Definitely. Their warm, neutral tones pair well with darker stones like slate, or with brighter gravels, allowing for striking contrast and creative garden layouts.

10. How much should I use?

Recommended coverage varies by pebble size, as larger pebbles need a deeper layer for full ground coverage and a natural finish:

• 6mm Pebbles – at a 25–30mm depth, 1 bulk bag (approx. 850kg) covers around 18–21m²
• 10mm Pebbles – at a 30–40mm depth, 1 bulk bag (approx. 850kg) covers around 13–18m²
• 20mm Pebbles – at a 40–50mm depth, 1 bulk bag (approx. 850kg) covers around 11–13m²

For driveways or deeper layers, more may be required.

Delivery will be made by a Corker Hiab lorry (with mounted crane). Please enter your postcode in the basket to check if you qualify for free delivery!

Drop Off Delivery

There is a £40 delivery charge for orders without a bulk bag in our local zone. When a bulk bag is added to the cart, the order will qualify for free local delivery and the £40 charge will automatically be removed.

Pallet Delivery

For deliveries outside of our local zone (17-mile radius of Paddock Wood) we send items out via a trusted third-party courier service. The price for pallet delivery outside our zone is £72.00 (2-3 days).

Parcel Delivery

Orders weighing less than 30kg will be sent via a trusted third-party courier service. The price for a parcel under 30kg is £14.40 (2-3 days) and £15.99 (next day).
