Dutch clay pavers are perfect for multi-purpose projects such as driveways, patios, courtyards, parking areas, or adding a decorative touch to the garden. The earliest examples of Dutch clay pavers were in the now classic brick edge look. An example of something that has never gone out of style, they are experiencing a popular revival.

Highly durable with a lifespan of over a hundred years, Dutch clay pavers are a great material. Their natural textured surface makes them non-slip. And, unlike manmade materials, they’re natural colourfast tones won’t fade. Sustainable sourced and extracted, they offer great peace of mind as well as value.

Dutch Clay Pavers – Durable and Versatile

Dutch clay pavers also over versatility. Whether lain in brick effect, herringbone, or any number of other patterns, they’re easy to use. You can create inspiring, durable, weatherproof landscapes that last. The clay paver portfolio from Corker Outdoor provides a wide choice of textures and colours, ranging from autumn hues to greys, blues, and blacks.

Clay is the natural choice for any number of applications. They are a complimentary option for red brick or natural stone constructions and renovation projects. Pavers are a great contrasting highlight for a contemporary design too.

From residential to commercial landscaping, internal or external designs, clay pavers are suitable for flexible or rigid construction. Their use also enables cost savings over less durable and versatile materials, whether a smaller installation or a project of scale.

Installation

Installation of clay paving starts with the sub-grade. Requirements for the sub-grade vary from site to site, and may require an engineer. Unsuitable material should be removed and replaced with appropriate material, and compacted.

The sub-base – a layer of aggregate material laid on top of the sub-grade, acts as the main, load-bearing part of the structure. Good, all round type-1 materials are perfect for sub-base construction, compacted to the desired thickness. On good ground, 150mm is typical. This is subject to site conditions, traffic loadings, and suitability of the sub-grade.
