Q: What type of turf is it?

A: Corker turf is a ryegrass variety, specially cultivated for domestic use.

Q: Is Corker turf available all year round?

A: Yes, it is available about 90% of the time. The only conditions that may prevent our growers from cutting are flooding, heavy frost, and snow.

Q: What is the best time of year to lay a new lawn?

A: A new lawn can be laid during most of the year, weather permitting. It is not advisable to lay turf during periods of heavy frost or snow.

Q: Are there differences when laying turf in summer or winter?

A: Yes, laying a lawn in the summer will require more frequent watering to maintain the turf. In contrast, water usage can be nearly halved in the winter months.

Q: Will frost damage my newly laid turf?

A: No, frost, cold, or snow will not harm new turf. It will remain dormant in severe cold weather and will root and grow during milder winter days.

Q: Can I lay turf on my existing lawn?

A: It is not recommended to lay new turf over old grass. While the new grass may initially grow over the old turf, the old grass will deteriorate over time and eventually die, which could negatively impact the new lawn.

Q: For the best results, should I remove any old vegetation before laying new turf?

A: Yes, always remove any old vegetation before laying new turf for optimal results.

Q: When can I walk on my new lawn?
